Chester Zoo (www.chesterzoo.org) is a registered conservation and education charity that supports projects around the world. Welcoming over 2 million visitors a year, it is the most visited zoo in the UK; home to over 35,000 animals and more than 500 different species, many of which are endangered in the wild.

With 128 acres to explore and over 37,000 animals that call the zoo home, there’s always something new to discover. Every year 2 million people experience countless magical moments at the zoo, from animal encounters to making precious memories with family and friends. Each visit is a day out that makes a difference, enabling us to protect endangered wildlife here in Chester and support vital conservation projects around the world.

yayy a herd of elephants in captivity! 🥳👏🏼 only fair if the zookeepers and directors live in the zoo too, never to be let out within its confines, for as long as the elephants are kept there. they’re a dangerous species 😅

When I was younger (this was when they were in their old home) I went to Chester zoo and I loved Frankie and frank so muck I got two Sunda gharial stuffed animals and named them after frank and Frankie! PS: I am not a zoophile I just thought they were very cute!
